Grand Karaoke night club is located inside Ayutthaya Grand Hotel (55/5 Rojana Rd, Tambon Thanoo, Tel 035-335483-91). It opens everyday from 18:00 to 01:00. As we were told, this was the first karaoke place to open in Ayutthaya in 1989. It still attracts many customers both from inside and from outside the Grand Hotel, mainly Thai and Japanese nationals.

There are 9 separated A/C rooms with sitting for a total of about 100 persons. Music is Thai, Western, Japanese pop songs, with plenty of girls to bear help you spend a carefree night away. The bar serves all commun brands of beers and whiskeys and common cocktails. The price for a beer starts at 140 B. There is no entry fee, but you book a room for 180 to 200 B per hour. Thus, it is more convenient to be part of a small group all in the same room.

Another karaoke night club is found at Krungsri River Hotel (opened 1993).

Outside the Grand Hotel, behind the hotel's main building, is the area known as Grand Market ( ตลาดแดรก์ ). Basically it is made up of two streets joining just behind the hotel, and packed with small karaoke bars and massage parlours.

These shops open everyday at around 17:00 and most of them close at around 24:00. Some, however, remain open until 04:00, and even later. Going through these streets at night you will see all these bright shops, each with its own group of up to about 10 girls cheerfully sitting outside and trying to lure you in.
