City Home Guesthouse

Located an easy stroll down Paholyothin Road from the Night Bazaar and Old Bus Station, City Home is a budget guesthouse with excellent value. Open since 2005, the hotel is still new and is kept up well. Staff are of the friendly and quiet sort, but speak English well and are helpful with information about the city if you’re looking for things to do.

Simple but clean and well maintained rooms can be had for as little as:
200 THB = double fan room, shared bathroom outside the room

350 THB = air conditioned room, private bathroom, cable television

All bathrooms have hot water showers to remove the dust of the road. Free coffee and tea is on offer in the lobby, as well as free internet use on a shared computer (sorry, no wireless).

For groups travelling together or for families, there are 2 suites available reasonably priced at 1000THB/night. These include a bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed to sleep 3 people comfortably, as well as a lounge with a big comfy sofa, t.v, and a fridge as well as a private attached bathroom.

Deluxe Suite

As with most guesthouses in Chiang Rai, City Home also offers tour booking for trekking and driving tours around the province, as well as motorcycle (250 to 300 / day) and car (1000 to 1500 / day) rental service.

It’s not a big place, there are only 3 fan rooms, 15 aircon, and the 2 suites, so booking is a good idea if you know you’ll head to Chiang Rai even one day in advance.
