The Da Lat or Dalat city is located around 1500m above the sea level on Langbiang Plateau in southern part of Central Highlands, Vietnam. Da Lat is indeed a popular and a must visit tourist destination of Vietnam. It even serves as the stepping stone to Central Highlands of Vietnam and this former French hill station has the mini replica of Eiffel Tower. Da Lat has indeed served as a famous place for domestic tourists attracting more than 800,000 Vietnamese visitors every year. Originally called as Quang Trung Reservoir, the Tuyen Lam Lake is not actually a lake but a reservoir that was built in 1982 from waters of Da Tam River and the Tia Stream. The pine trees and serene waterfalls surround this lake very beautifully and with the Nui Phung Hoang and Bui Voi within walking distance, this amazing landscape is simple one of the best places to see in Dalat.

You can enjoy the beef rice noodles, which is the local food for breakfast. It is delicious to eat and becomes all the more sumptuous when you add some fish sauce and chilies to it. Lime, bean sprouts, mints and vegetables are served with these noodles.

The Dalat Market is another popular place to visit which is crowded, huge and packed with produce of all kinds. This where you can see the local specialties and try them before making a purchase. Some vendors will be highly courteous to offer you samples of the local wine or strawberries.

The entire town of Dalat is featured with the feel and look of French replica however on ridge running road, the Tran Hung Dao, you cannot miss the derelict shells of various French colonial summer homes. It is the place where the successful and connected come to easily escape the heat of Vietnam in summer months.

The Crazy House is indeed another popular tourist destination in Da Lat. It is the eclectic guest house that feels like a kind of tree house on the drugs.
